SES 4.5 pro

I was curious whether I was making the second dumbest purchase of my amateur cycling career. After a while on the bike, I realized I was wrong. I had been riding on Strada Italia and previously on Zipp 303 Firecrest — wheels with similar weight and good aerodynamics. At least that’s what I thought before. Besides them, I also have wheelsets with 35mm rim height on DT Swiss 240 and an old Shamal Mille on other bikes.
I’m rather light, 67kg, FTP around 230W.
The Enves are just incredible — stiff and dynamic, and even I can feel the difference. They’re really fast, exactly as they should be, and very resistant to side wind gusts. The Zipps are noticeably more nervous in similar conditions. Their sound is nice, and the ratchet isn’t as aggressive as DT’s. After a year on the DT 52‑tooth ratchet, it’s a real relief.
They have two downsides. First, the decals: I understand they’re lighter and easier to customize, but they have tiny air bubbles underneath. It’s annoying to see something like that on a wheelset for 4.5k Euro. Second, they aren’t comfortable — which isn’t surprising — but they do give a very sporty, race‑oriented feeling.

Compliant, Responsive, Dependable, lightweight! Yea, I know they aren’t inexpensive but we get what we pay for. I started riding ENVES after I had a warranty problem with another big name wheel manufacturer giving me the runaround and making the warranty issue a BIG ISSUE! After this I researched after purchase service / warranty and went with Enve. Im glad I did. After approximately 12000 miles on multiple sets of wheel ( I have Enve on all my bike now) not a single problem. Thanks to Roy’s of Sheepshead for hooking me up with great prices and service and Enve for making a superior product.

Coming from Campagnolo Bora Ultra and Shimano DuraAce . ENVE 4.5 Pro are one level up. Fast, light and good balanced. Bit pricey but worthy.

Why settle for either aero or lightweight when you can have both! Best wheels on the planet. Bombproof and fast! The hub is music as well. Going from my old wheelset that was still decent set (41mm deep and not terribly heavy), I've dropped all my times up, down and on the flats.

Swapped out my Princeton Carbonworks Evo Peak 4550 which were a 9/10 but the New Enve Pro's are 10/10 for now. until they come out with something better. But I think it will be a while.

This is my 3rd set of Enve wheels and they NEVER disappoint. The best build and ride quality available. They get up to speed like lightning and hold speed like nothing else...if anything there begging me to push harder and go faster. I have done thousands of miles and they are as true as the day I purchased them. I've even taken a couple of surprise hits from horrible road pothole's that I couldn't avoid and I thought for sure I had damaged my wheels... Nope, still perfect in every respect! I also love the way they handle in strong gusts and severe crosswinds. I never shy away from windy day rides. My Enve wheels seem to tame those nasty winds and I still ride with confidence, always in complete control and never feel up tight or tense at rides end. Not to mention the best customer service i have ever experienced and when I call I always get a (real) person based at the Enve facility here in the USA. Just the best wheels in the world!!!

Aero and light

Love these wheels, they feel quite a bit faster than the "regular" 4.5 AR Disc wheel set that I was running before. Hubs are silky smooth and look killer as well.

OMG this wheels set is amazing. It’s looks so nice on my Specialized Tarmac SL8.
It’s light, very stiff but comfortable at the same time. The wheels are so reactive when I accelerate.
I feel now like Pogacar on my bike, it’s nice to be able to ride the same wheels as the greatest cyclist!
